Being born in Portland, Oregon, near the ocean, I personally experienced the great power of the world's largest ecosystem and the importance of our coexistence with it. I have seen firsthand the intensified climate events anthropogenic activities have created. This is why high volume data driven solutions paired alongside a holistic mindset are of the utmost importance for solving the arising climate changes in this world.
Therefore, my goal as a Scientist, Engineer, and Human is to use the voluminous data availability from remote sensing technology for the preservation and exploration of oceanic systems.
Thankfully, my current position as an Ocean Sciences Ph.D. student is helping me achieve this goal.
